In case you haven't heard of him, Fred was a legend.
A humanitarian and eye surgeon, Fred Hollows helped restore eyesight to thousands of people in Australia and overseas. His vision for a world where no one was unnecessarily blind has been carried on by The Fred Hollows Foundation. Since it began, the foundation has restored sight to more than 2 million people – often with a simple, 20 minute operation.
After being asked to contribute to the Fred Hollows 'Gift of Sight' art installation at Vivid Sydney last year, NOTNOT has been looking for ways to continue helping the incredible work of the foundation. SUNNYS has provided the perfect opportunity to develop this support as the foundation has gladly accepted the $5 donation from every pair sold.

Of the 32.4 million people in the world who are blind, many don't have to be. Eye diseases like cataract, trachoma and diabetic retinopathy lead to permanent blindness when often, the conditions are treatable or preventable. In some developing countries, $25 is all it takes to restore someone’s sight and significantly change their future.
So please make a donation or buy a pair . . . or five!
